Consultancy
Solo PFM provides expertise and advice in all aspects of non-core business activities. From property acquisition and disposals, contract cleaning, refurbishments, office relocation, through space planning & design to building management & maintenance, Solo PFM consultants can advise you every step of the way.
Our consultancy service offers clients the opportunity to utilise our expertise on a one-off or piecemeal basis, as required.
We undertake individual projects where specific expertise and knowledge is required. For example, this could include office acquisition, negotiation of premises contracts, management of staff relocation or aggregation of multiple premises.
We can also carry out strategic reviews of your existing arrangements to identify any potential improvements or cost-savings.
Design
Solo PFM offers a range of design services to assist clients who are seeking to improve, upgrade or change their existing environments.
We offer a space planning and design service to create interiors that maximise the use of available space, whilst at the same time, incorporate function, flexibility and innovative design. These are key elements to any successful commercial premises. The need to obtain best value for money from the available floor space should not overshadow the benefits obtained from a good working environment.
Solo PFM can offer comprehensive help and advice with the choice of workstations and storage, conference room equipment, partitioning, ceiling and floor treatments.

Project Management
Solo PFM can provide a Project Management service to cover a range of different premises related issues.
From straightforward office moves to complex engineering projects, Solo PFM have the necessary experience and expertise to provide a complete project management solution. This can incorporate the full range of the professional team, including planning supervisor, architect, Structural Engineers, Quanitity surveyors, Project Managers, Cost Consultants, Site Foremen and Building services engineers.
Our team has successfully managed a number of different projects on behalf of clients, that range from minor relocations to complete turnkey solutions to provide new working environments.
Our objective at the planning stage is to assist our clients in identifying their needs and key objectives and based upon these, assemble the team of professional staff that will be required to achieve the end product.
Working with our clients' staff, we prepare budget forecasts, CAD layouts and planning schedules, before sourcing the contractors necessary to achieve the goals set by our client.
Once the project is approved and underway, Solo PFM will monitor and report on every stage of the process, ensuring that quality and cost is carefully controlled.
This will ensure that the whole process is managed in both a cost and time effective manner.
Maintenance Management
The maintenance in any building is a significant overhead. It is essential therefore, that the equipment installed is maintained cost effectively, without compromising the ability of the building to function. Solo PFM can demonstrate considerable experience in the management of both in-house maintenance staff and in the use of specialist contractors over a wide range of of building types.
We can set up and manage the entire maintenance programme on behalf of our clients; every building and the use of it in whole or part, is unique. Typically however, there will be systems or services that are critical to the business function. Solo PFM will work with the client to identify these and to develop a cost effective maintenance regime, to ensure that these are reliable.
As part of the service provided, we can offer assistance with the budget process, forcasting life span of equipment installed and projected expenditure to repair or replace over the short, medium and longer-term occupancy of the premises involved.

Health & Safety
Solo PFM recognise the fundamental importance of adhering to the legislation imposed upon employers by the Health and Safety at work act and subsequent legislation that has been passed since the 1974 Act of Parliament. The legislation increasingly sets the task of assessing the risk, exposure and preventative measures in the hands of the employer. This places a significant load on human resources and office management, simply as a result of the number and complexity of assessments that have to be carried out and updated as required. Solo PFM are fully conversant with the regulations and offer management of the day to day operation of health and safety in the work place on behalf of our clients, as well as providing technical information and advice. Whilst every employer is ultimately responsible for the health and safety of its staff, we can assist our clients in writing policies and procedures, carrying out risk assessments and monitoring the health and safety of the workplace and equipment on your behalf.
