Solo has been manufacturing internal door systems on a bespoke basis for our own fit out customers for several years. Solo Internal Door systems has been quietly going about its business in supplying and fitting doors to large projects in the residential and commercial market nationwide. There are many doors suppliers and many companies who say they can install doors. Over the past decade we have probably engaged the services and products of many of them. No one in the market was offering a complete package. Therefore Solo doors systems engaged more staff and trained more installers on proper installation procedures of door systems. This gave our customers satisfaction in knowing that we wanted to provide them with more than just manufacture, supply and installation. Any door now supplied through Solo door systems now is backed up with 6 months aftercare. |

Westag-Getalit Doors are one of the best in the market place. In early 2008 we became approved suppliers and installers of Westag-Getalit doors for Ireland and the UK. With Westag Getalit we have the ability to supply and fit more cost effectively and not compromise on quality. Through Westag Getalit, Solo are fully trained and approved installers of their door systems. We can provide cost effectice supply and fit due to the volume of doors we supply and fit for Westag-Getalit.
Commercial
Office and hotel developments are a major part of our business. Whatever the scale or nature of the project, whether new build or refurbishment, we offer a full range of services from core fit-outs to second fix packages including full door sets and associated joinery items such as screens, architraves,and skirting.
Education
Solo Internal Doors have extensive experience in meeting all requirements relating to fire, acoustic, security and disabled provisions. We have also developed particular expertise in providing problem solving joinery sets for such specialised areas as sports halls purpose designed emergency exit doors with recessed ironmongery, for example. These days, PFI contracts account for the vast majority of building activity in the educational sector. Long term maintenance is therefore a major consideration for any principal contractor appointing a key supplier so there can be no better choice than using Solo Door Systems where quality and built-in durability come as standard.
Healthcare
Increasing government investment in the building fabric of NHS facilities, both through new build and refurbishment, has created many new opportunities to demonstrate our expertise at its best on a wide variety of projects from hospitals and health centres to day care units and nursing homes. Highly specialised contracts such as hospitals, nursing homes and health-clinics involving the sympathetic upgrading of Grade 1 and 2 listed buildings and especially the unique challenges posed by the stringent demands for safety and security in facilities for the mentally disabled have resulted in some of our most creative and rewarding work incorporating complex locking mechanisms, customised fittings and high performance FD120 doorsets.
Public and Civic Centres
Town halls, libraries, theatres, concert halls, community centres, sports stadiums and airports; despite the inevitable budgetary constraints traditionally associated with Public Sector contracts, we always welcome any such project as another opportunity to demonstrate our skills at every level.
Residential
With the apartments, penthouses and large flatted developments now making up an ever larger proportion of the residential housing market nationwide, this is a tremendous growth area for Solo Door systems and one of increasing importance to the business, year on year. The limits of imagination provide the only barrier to what a designer can achieve with our door range, specially developed for today’s residential and hotel market. This exclusive range gives us the edge in being able to offer a potentially infinite range of bespoke designs in all sizes and configurations, their aesthetic appeal underpinned by the assurance that every model can be safely certified as conforming to FD30/FD60 and architect specified acoustic performance standards.
Supplying and Fitting
Solo Door systems work on an average of 8 weeks from order to install. During holiday periods this may increase to 10 weeks. Our works programme is as follows:
- Order date (this is the date that you and our technical personnel are signed off on the following: Type of Door,Door Size, Frames, Specifications)
- Manufacture will begin on the 5th week to 7th week(max)
- Delivery/Installation: 8 to 10 weeks
- Quality Assurance: our quality assurance personnel will visit your project to ensure that installation and products are to your requirements (both you and our quality assurance person sign off the doors
- Aftercare: we expect our clients to contact us to request a aftercare inspection
